I ADORED this book! A Beautiful Wedding made me all happy, smiley, giddy, and a little bit teary. Maybe it’s partly because I’m just so in the “wedding mood” and this book got me all excited lol!
To be honest, I didn’t love the reason Abby proposed to Travis. It just felt so.. unromantic, and like the wrong reason to get married. It’s not a huge spoiler since it’s revealed in the first part of the book, but I’ll put it in spoiler tags anyway. View Spoiler »
But I loved seeing Abby and Travis go through the actual marriage.. the nerves, the joy, the romance, the wedding night! It was all so fun, exciting, and happy to read about.
I didn’t like Walking Disaster, sadly, but A Beautiful Wedding brought me back to my love for Beautiful Disaster! It reminded me why I loved that book so much.
I don’t normally read novellas, but this is one you MUST READ if you’re a fan of the Beautiful series.

This is going to sound so bitter, but how many books about the same situations can this author pump out?! Haha, the third book detailing the same sequence of events we’ve already seen in Beautiful Disaster.
I’m glad you like it though – if I can find a free copy maybe I’ll give it a go; I did find some guilty pleasure in their steamier scenes in BD!
This book killed me! There were so many great things about it, but I really couldn’t get over Abby’s reason for wanting to marry Travis. I mean, it was noble of her to want to save him, but at the same time I wish it had been more romantic — more about Abby and Travis, and less about keeping Travis safe. In the end I guess it worked, though. And they stayed married! I’m really glad Jamie McGuire wrote this novella because it satisfied my Abby & Travis marriage night questions. And the scenes were so much steamier, wow!
Yes, I totally agree! It was so not romantic and it made me feel bad for Travis.. 🙁
I’m really glad that you liked this one! Even though the reason behind the proposal definitely isn’t romantic, I’m glad that the wedding itself was a really great reading experience 🙂 I wasn’t a huge fan of Beautiful Disaster, but I definitely can see how fans of the books would love this one, too!
