Ash Princess was AMAZING!! It met all my expectations and then some. This is going to turn into an epic revenge series and I can’t wait for more!

Renegades by Marissa Meyer
I loved Renegades! I’m thrilled because Heartless wasn’t my favourite. But Renegades??? Yes! Awesome!
My favourite book so far of 2018: Children of Blood and Bone
Children of Blood and Bone deals with some really heavy, intense issues. There are huge topics like privilege, family vs “what’s right”, oppression, and more. It’s not a lighthearted book, and that’s what I loved about it.
The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
I’m really disappointed that I didn’t love The City of Brass like I wanted to. It was such a cool setting and the main character was pretty great, but sadly I think information overload weighed me down and massively affected my enjoyment of the book.
Review: To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
To Kill a Kingdom was everything it promised: sirens, kingdoms at war, enemies falling in love, and an interesting look at nature vs nurture.
Review: Heart of Iron – a sci-fi Anastasia
I was actually fully prepared to give Heart of Iron 4 stars because I enjoyed it a lot, but then I didn’t like how things turned up in the end. I really didn’t like who turned into a bad guy. Ending spoiler: It just kind […]
Review: Honor Among Thieves by Ann Aguirre and Rachel Caine
Honor Among Thieves was a good book (and OMG look at that cover!) but sadly I didn’t really connect with it the way I hoped I would. This led to me being indifferent about the book overall. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate […]
Review: The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross
The Queen’s Rising is an interesting kingdom/rebellion story, which thankfully reads like a standalone!
Reign the Earth was everything I hoped it would be!
To be honest, I don’t want to review Reign the Earth. For me it was one of those books that was so perfect that I don’t even want to sit and be objective about it. I don’t want to go over details and pick it apart. I just want to bask in its amazingness and all the beautiful feelings I have about the book.
My last four 4+ star reads: This Mortal Coil, Flame in the Mist, Mistborn: The Final Empire, and Origin
I haven’t been reviewing most of my purchased books lately – just the ones I get for review. So I figured I’d do a quick wrap-up of some of my last reads of books I purchased.
