I’m really excited to share not one, but two gorgeous new pre-made WordPress themes! Both of these excite the socks off of me.
Eliza
I’m not even sure how best to convey my excitement for Eliza. I had so much fun with this theme that I almost kept it for myself to use on Creative Whim. But then I decided that the blogosphere needs this theme. It’s gorgeous, clean, comes with 9 colour schemes, and can be used as a website and/or a blog!
That’s right, this is my first theme that actually has some pretty great website support. I have tons of homepage widget areas that you can rearrange and configure to suit your needs. Plus, it’s been tested with WooCommerce and should support that plugin pretty darn beautifully.
Here’s a full list of features:
- 9 colour schemes
- 6 layout options
- 3 custom widgets
- Footer widget area
- Global announcement widget area
- Upload a custom header image (or use text)
- Upload a custom background image
- Change fonts for: paragraph text, headings, post title, widget titles
- Display excerpts or full posts on the blog page
- WooCommerce ready
- Responsive design
Seaside Serenade
This gorgeous theme was designed by Emily from Reverie Rhapsody and then coded by myself. It’s been in the works for a while and we’re both super thrilled to finally release it! It’s fun, colourful, and will make you want to rush off to the beach.
Seaside Serenade comes with an options panel that allows you to:
- Upload a custom favicon
- Customize the footer/copyright text.
- Upload a custom header image.
- Change link colours and the background image.
- Adjust the typography for the main body font, headings, post titles, and widget titles.
- Toggle between showing excerpts and full posts on the homepage.
- And more!
And like all my themes, it’s fully responsive.
I LOVE Eliza’s colour palet! And the more relaxed artsy style of Seaside Serenade π
Thank you! π Seaside Serenade does an excellent job of representing that “lazy beach holiday” feeling.
OH MY GAWD THE SEASIDE ONE. I love it soooo much!! Like, if I wasn’t in love with Charlotte (especially it’s headings), I would totally buy that one! *stares at pretty theme in envy*
So um, if you ever have time to squeeze me in for a custom design, I would love something kind of like that π
I am building up my waiting list for custom designs if you want to jump in. I’m currently booking for Dec/January.
How much would it cost for just a header and button? I don’t have a lot of money right now >.<
I’m not really doing only graphics stuff right now. π
Aw okay. π I’ll probably just hold off then, I really love the Charlotte theme!
I’m spoilt for choice! I’m actually thinking of re-vamping my blog and I have no idea which theme I should choose. Eliza has a really simple feminine style and Seaside Serenade looks so sweet. They’re gorgeous! π
I know, it’s a tough decision! π
I LOVE ELIZAAAAAAAAAAA. :DDDDD I’ll have to see if I can use it :3
Also I actually considered changing my blog name just so I could use Seaside Serenade, I won’t lie
You can change the title on Seaside Serenade you know. π
That one isn’t included free with Book Host though since it was designed by a third party. So it costs extra if you want to use it.
(Eliza is free on Book Host though.)
I’m in love with Eliza! So beautiful! I’m seriously thinking in buying it!
But your design is already so pretty!! π
YAY! I’m so excited that Seaside Serenade is out! π Thank you so much for working with me on it, Ashley! ^^ And ELIZA IS BEAUTIFUL. OMG. I LOVE IT. I just might get it you know, because I have this project I’m thinking of doing and it might come in handy π
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! <3
I’m so excited too!! Everyone is loving Seaside Serenade. π
I love the Eliza Theme! I’m iffy about buying themes in general though because I always end up changing my blog design every few weeks or so. But, ELIZA… I seriously love it. π
Haha I know what you mean! If I weren’t a web designer I think I’d feel the same hesitation about buying themes.
Eliza has awesome color options. How did you find so many? They all match very well to the rest of the theme.
I love the whole feel of Seaside Serenade. Colors, little shells, background. Great design.
They did make me realize how plain my color scheme is. I gotta do some research and change it. π
I wanted to try to get every colour from the rainbow spectrum. It took a little while to get the shades right on some of them though. I wanted them to be subtle, but not too unsaturated.
You succeeded in your intention. π And I didn’t notice there were all color of the rainbow. Neat!
Both look so cute! π
Thank you! π
Love them both!
Thanks!!
If I were not a broke chick Eliza would be mine right now. It is perfect!
Thank you!! π Maybe I’ll have a Christmas sale in December. π
Perfect! But oh the wait will be torture! π
Wow! These are gorgeous! I love the choices of colours in Eliza and I love the textured boards in the seaside one. Not to mention the review archive pages.
Thanks so much Carrie!!
Both of these are so pretty, I especially like Eliza. And I’m still looking forward to some of your porfolio themes π
I’ll get there π Hehe
Wow, beautiful themes!! I wish I hadn’t just overhauled my blog haha. I’m drawn to both of them but Eliza is definitely more “me” .. Hmmm
Aww! Also, just a heads up, your blog is on WordPress.com, but you have to be self-hosted in order to use either of these themes!
Yeah, I know :/ that’s another issue haha. I’m working on self-hosting sometime in the near future.
Love Eliza!! If I ever make the jump to self-hosted Ashley, I’m definitely going to torture you!!
Haha! π
I am literally drooling over Eliza. So sweet and soft and simple and pleasing to the eye. I think I may need to get on your waitlist for a rehaul of my design soon.
I’m glad you like it! π
I’m currently booking designs for January!
I love Em’s design! :3 It’s so cute and it’s so pretty with all the colors that I would happily switch to a sea-themed blog haha. And then Eliza’s so elegant, and I love the post borders! And all those elegant fonts! >.< I suck at finding nice italic fonts, seriously. Would you mind if I asked for all the fonts you used for headings? *looks at the pretties and obsessively wants to use them for an edit*
And oh, by the way, when I dropped by your blog, your logo on the browser tab was suddenly the Networked Blogs one, and there was a Networked Blogs bar on top. And when I clicked out of it, the page refreshed. I don't know if that's intentional or not but most likely it isn't.
Did you click over via a NetworkedBlogs link? Or were you on NetworkedBlogs before? If you use a NB link you actually visit whatever site it is inside a NB iframe with their bar across the top.
The main font for Eliza is Lora: https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Lora Love it π It’s simple but looks really nice.
