Ear infection update
Luckily the pain is gone from my ear infection, but my ear is still a little blocked and—most annoyingly—gets RIDICULOUSLY tickly/itchy at times. I went back to the doctor and she says I have fluid trapped inside my ear, but on the wrong side where it can’t get out. So now I have to take this nasal spray stuff for two weeks and hope that gets rid of the fluid. THE ITCHES MAY KILL ME!!! It’s not always a problem, but when it flares up I start trying to claw my ear off X_X
I got the most gorgeous thing in the universe!
I hoped and prayed and longed for this book… and the AMAZING folks at Bloomsbury delivered! I cried bucket loads of happy tears when I saw that I got this! I CAN’T WAIT TO READ THE CRAP OUT OF IT!
Hubby & I are off to California!
Since my family is in California and my husband’s is in England, we’re starting a new tradition of alternating locations for Christmas. This year we’re celebrating with my family in California, since my husband has yet to visit the United States! Also, we’re flying there business class, which is pretty freaking awesome. I can’t remember the last time I was so excited about an actual flight. WE’RE GOING TO GET SLEEPER BEDS, Y’ALL!!
This week I realized that I haven’t actually been back to California in like eight months or something O_O It’s been aaaaages!! What if my cat has forgotten who I am?
I miss his royal cuteness.
Quiet on the blog front
I don’t have any blog posts scheduled for the period I’ll be in California (December 22nd – January 4th). I don’t expect I’ll have much time to blog or read comments, so I’m enacting my no posting on vacations policy.
However, I will be making an exception for a few “end of year” type posts, which are scheduled for December 30th – January 1st. Because obviously we need some fun end of year statistics and 2015 goals!

Awwww, the kitty. So adorable when they sleep.
Happy to hear the ear infection is getting better. Be carful on the plane, make sure to take lots of meds to relieve the pressure or you will be in excruciating pain during the pressure changes. Trust me. I just wanted to die when I went on a plane with a cold. Never making that mistake again.
I hope you have an amazing holiday with your fam.
Have a wonderful trip and a Merry Christmas. And your cat is adorable! He won’t forget who you are. 😉
I NEED THAT BOOK! I’m glad you’re feeling better, and you have some cute kittehs. Happy Holidays!
I’ve heard good things about Sarah J. Maas. I want to read her soon! Have a great time with your family!
Glad your ear infection is finally getting better! Having pain on a holiday is no fun. Not that an ear infection is Ever fun.
Hope your Christmas is wonderful!
Are you visiting Northern or Southern Cali? I grew up in Northern, moved away, moved back, moved away again. I love it there, but it’s gotten way too expensive to live there anymore.
I had the same ear problem this summer. Mine took about two months after flying to go away. My doctor had me on sudafed and the nasal spray. I was on them for the recommended time and then I had to stop taking them. My next step was an ear, nose, throat specialist. I just did nothing for a couple of weeks and the swelling went down and the trapped fluid was allowed to escape.
Take Sudafed or something similar before you get on the plane to go to California otherwise ascending and decending are not going to be fun. I got my ear problems from flying with a cold and that is something I hope to never do again.
Hope your ear is all better dry soon. Jelly of your most beautiful ARC. I really need to read that. I just love Maas. And it will be quiet on my blog. I’m vacationing from blogging for two weeks and it’s going to be great! Have a great week and happy holidays, Ashley!
Enjoy your trip home for the holidays! Rest assured your cat will know who you are, they never forget loved ones just like we don’t.
Merry Christmas and best for 2015!
Yay for the ear infection clearing up, but boo to itchiness! My husband had shingles a while back and the doctor told us that the baby could get chicken pox from it … it probably wouldn’t bug him at all, but if either of us got it, we’d be in hell. Lol … When did we become such wusses as adults? 😉
Have fun in California!!! I know it’ll be a blast! I’m up in cold, snowy Canada so the idea of some nice heat and sunshine sounds lovely …
Have a lovely trip, Ashley! I am very, very envious! 🙂 And I’m so glad your ear is feeling a bit better, here’s hoping the hot Cali weather fixes it up good and proper!
Merry Christmas! xxx
I’m on a blog break too during the holidays. That’s one cute cat!! 😀 Have fun in California. 🙂 Itches may kill indeed.
Also… I NEED THAT BOOK RIGHT NOW!!!
Oh my goodness! I feel your annoyance with your ear. I had to take steroids because I had air trapped on the wrong side of my ear and it was only a day or two but it drove me nuts! I hope it doesn’t take too much longer to heal.
Enjoy your trip to California and your bloggy break!!
I swear everyone but me has gotten ACOTAR, it’s kind of disheartening =/ But oh well. I’ll be buying it when it comes out anyway, right?
YOUR CAT IS SO ADORABLE. I’m sure he will remember you! And I’m glad your ear infection is better, I know how painful those are!
Have a great holidays!!!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
So glad you received the book by Sarah J. Mass, can’t wait for your review on the book. 🙂
