To be honest, I don’t want to review Reign the Earth. For me it was one of those books that was so perfect that I don’t even want to sit and be objective about it. I don’t want to go over details and pick it apart. I just want to bask in its amazingness and all the beautiful feelings I have about the book.

I Fell in Love With a Fantasy Series! (just like I hoped!)
When I talked about my reading goals for 2017 I said I wanted to fall in love with a new fantasy series… and I already have! Funnily enough, I also said this in that same post: “I’ve actually just started The Demon King, so it’s […]
The Diabolic: Where a Girl Rips Out Someone’s Heart With Her Bare Hands
My favourite part about The Diabolic is easy: it’s about a “killing machine” who actually kills. Often in YA the synopsis will describe a “killing machine” or “female badass” or “epic assassin”, but they never actually show any true badassery or brutality. This is so […]
I Don’t Like Being TOLD a Romance is Awesome
I love a hot, juicy, tension-filled romance. But you know what I REALLY like? Being there in that romance every step of the way. I like being privy to all their “moments”, conversations, and “get to know you” steps. I like seeing the tension boil […]
An Epic Re-imagining of Aladdin Falls Flat
A Whole New World started off painfully similar to the movie. Don’t get me wrong, I adore the movie Aladdin, but I want something different from a book. I don’t want a book to feel like someone is sitting there, watching the movie, and describing […]
Review: The Sin Eater’s Daughter by Melinda Salisbury
I could cry a thousand tears over The Sin Eater’s Daughter. 🙁 I was initially drawn to this book by the GORGEOUS cover, then I read an AWESOME synopsis which backed up my first thought of, “HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!!” I had such high hopes for […]
Review: Forbidden by Kimberley Griffiths Little
I absolutely ADORED this book! Forbidden is one of the most unique books I’ve read in a while. I think the words Mesopotamian, desert, tribe, and dancing say it all. When’s the last time you read a young adult book that involved those?? The overall […]
Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor
I’m so torn on Daughters of Smoke & Bone. I didn’t hate it, but I never loved it the way everyone else seems to. What I Liked I loved the setting of Prague. There was something so great about finally reading a book that doesn’t […]
Tandem by Anna Jarzab
Tandem is a fun and original new take on parallel universes! I think this book really proves how you can take a similar idea and twist it into something totally different. I got hooked on the idea of parallel universes after reading Parallel by Lauren […]
Of Triton by Anna Banks
This is my first step towards overcoming Second Book Avoidance Syndrom! Woohoo! I am PSYCHED! Of Triton was the perfect book to save me from a reading slump. It wasn’t quite as romantic and swoony as Of Poseidon, but it had a bigger focus on […]
