Just to be clear, I haven’t read any books in the Unearthly series. But HOLY JESUS! This cover blew my pants off. That lighting and those leaves and those colours.. those gorgeous, gorgeous covers. I think I’m in love. If you ask me, it’s ten million times better than the American version (this is the Australian cover).
wow! hands down this cover wins over the American version! I didn’t even recognize it until I went and looked at the book on Goodreads to compare.
There is so much LIFE in this version! The colors are so spectacular – you can just about smell the crisp, autumn air. I love how her eyes are closed – makes you feel like you’re spying on something secret. You can feel the breeze in the fluid motion of her dress and the glow of the sun behind her… *sigh* it’s just beautiful.
This version makes me want to pick up the book and start reading it, while I might pass up the American version altogether, if I hadn’t already seen/heard about it.
I agree with you completely Lynne! I had seen the US covers millions of times.. and to be honest, I always skipped right over it. For the longest time I never even read the synopsis because I couldn’t get past the covers.. the boring, washed out, uninspiring covers.
But this one? It rocks my universe. And it totally makes me want to read the book!

Although I think the American covers are pretty, they are plain and very similar. Same girl, same dress just a different pose and different color. This cover is very breathtaking.

It has a very nice feeling to it. I like the American version too, but this one looks so much warmer with those gorgeous colors.
